One of the things that I love most, about the #maytheforcebewithyogis challenge, are the opportunities that I have to practice poses that I have never tried before.
This flying lizard pose was one of those wonderful moments where I had a chance to surprise myself. I had tried a variation of this pose months ago to no avail, and I figured today would have the same result.
I was wrong, and this photo is proof that we can surprise ourselves when we least expect it.
Usually I follow the traditional drishtis (where you are meant to be gazing in each pose). In this case though, I got excited that I finally achieved this pose and I decided to share my smile and my joy with all of you.
May you all find joy in the little surprises that your yoga practice gives you.
